"I am so sorry for your loss xxx What an amazing way to honour the memory of your beautiful little girl. My son was a newborn when he had his first heart surgery at the Evelina but I know he would benefit greatly from the Connie Chair in the period after his next surgery. This is truly an amazing idea, thank you for your hard work and dedication to helping other children in similar situations to Connie xxx" Emma R.
"I think this will make a real difference, I can think of patients even now that would benefit." Hannah Bellsham-Revell, Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist, Evelina Hospital
I think it’s a fantastic idea. I used to work at GOSH and it would have been an incredibly useful seat to have for the children in their hospital beds, many a time did we have to play laying down for the children who didn’t have the strength to sit up so it would have been amazing. Connie sounded like such a wonderful little girl and I’m sure she would be very proud to see the work you are doing in her name. The chair would also be incredibly useful for the children in the hospice, I have only been working here a few months but I can see that it would be a great benefit. CP Play Therapist, Helen and Douglas House Hospice
"Fantastic idea! There is a real need for an updated chair for babies on PICU/HDU and on wards across the hospital." Physio and OT Team, Bristol Children's Hospital
"This is an incredibly important part of their recovery and fits well with our early mobilisation initiative on PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) and the HDUs (High Dependency Units). Not only does it improve the musculoskeletal recovery, but it has positive benefits on other systems, such as their lungs." Spokesperson for Bristol Children's Hospital
"It can have such such a positive impact on their interaction with the people around them and encourage play. This has a fantastic impact on their psychological wellbeing, as well as for their parents." Spokesperson for Bristol Children's Hospital
"I think the design of your medical chair is great. I also work clinically as an ECMO specialist in PICU and this design is really needed especially in the rehabilitation stage." PICANet Research Nurse and ECMO specialist
